Beaver Brook/Stapleton Mountain Nature Trail

Outdoor Activities
About This Program

The Beaver Brook/Stapleton Mountain Nature Trail at Genesee Park offers an immersive Braille trail experience designed specifically for visitors who are blind or visually impaired. The trail features guide wires and Braille plaques that provide educational information about the forest ecosystem.

Strategically placed benches along the trail allow visitors to rest, enjoy the natural sounds of the forest, and listen to birdsong. The trail is designed to be both educational and therapeutic, connecting visitors with nature through multiple senses.

This accessible trail demonstrates how outdoor spaces can be made inclusive for people with visual impairments while preserving the natural beauty and educational value of the environment.
